Crooked River Counseling Is a State Licensed Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health

Let us help you on your road to recovery- our number one goal is to help you be successful in your recovery journey and are committed to making you feel welcome and safe.

CRC offers the Opioid Health Home (OHH) model of care through MaineCare and/or grant monies. Care is delivered by a group of providers that deliver integrated medication assisted treatment (IMAT) services. The OHH model is based on a care delivery model which is focused on a whole-person approach. Treatment includes, but is not limited to, counseling, care coordination, medication-assisted treatment, peer support, urine drug screening, and medical consultation for individuals who have been diagnosed with an opioid dependency.

Outpatient
Outpatient treatment includes individual sessions and groups in a learning oriented format. You and your counselor will discuss this and we will determine your needs together.

Group topics include the recovery process, anger management, survival plans, stress management and navigating relationships. We encourage you to include family members in your treatment and include them in your sessions. You and your counselor will discuss this and determine when it is appropriate.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
Otherwise known as “Day Treatment” IOP offers comprehensive intensive outpatient treatment for individuals with substance use disorders that are transitioning from an inpatient level of care, or for those who need more structure than individual outpatient treatment can provide. Our IOP program is a therapeutic environment that is designed to assist you through support, education and the treatment of substance use disorders. Talk with your counselor about this for more information.

DEEP Level of Care Assessment and DEEP treatment
To get started call the DEEP Office (207) 626-8600. Ask DEEP to send Crooked River Counseling your paperwork.
Once Crooked River has received your paperwork, our staff will contact you to schedule your first appointment. Please insure DEEP has your correct contact information.

DEEP Assessment/Evaluation
An Assessment/Evaluation consists of 2-4 Sessions and includes a concerned person interview. This is an out of pocket expense as insurances do not pay for evaluations. Half of the assessment fee is due at the first session and the remainder of the fee must be paid prior to the last session for paperwork to be completed and sent to DEEP. Number of treatment sessions depends on “Phase” determined by DEEP regulations.

Our Philosophy
We believe the combination of individual counseling, group specialized treatment, family involved counseling, collaboration with other professionals as appropriate, and self help participation offer the most favorable prognosis of recovery for the individual and their family.
